Match report Another win. Skipper Gary Smith winning another toss, asked Hadleigh to bat first. After a fine bowling performance the previous week, Matt Sewell was asked to open the bowling and he did not dissappoint. It seems that the mojo has returned and was unlucky not to have taken more than the 2 wickets he got. Faisal also provided another very good slow bowling display taking another 4 wickets. Restricting Hadleigh to 186 all out, the Wood had a happy first half of the game. Now it was the turn of the Wood batsman to chase down the total with dark clouds on the horizon. Peter Clarke and Don Arachchi put on a rain interrupted 74 for the first wicket. The delay of 50 minutes was not timely, leaving the Wood 20 overs to get the remaining 120 runs. After a quick fire 28 by Darren Ellis, Faisal (48 n.o) and Hitesh 32 saw us home with 5 balls to spare.
