Match report Harold Wood twos took on Ardleigh Green as they looked to build on their steady start to the season.

Issues arose early as Captain Fantastic had failed to realise that everyone meeting at the club didn't drive. Once this issue was rectified the Wood boys made the arduously long journey across the A12 to Ardleigh Green's Harold Hill location.

After a long warm up in the sun involving stealing balls from each other, the team looks forward to next weeks game of 'duck, duck, goose'. Luke lost the toss and surprisingly was asked to bowl first.

Usman and Kingy opened up and after 16 overs Ardleigh Green were 16-2. Harold Wood continued the good pressure and at drinks Ardleigh Green were struggling on 46-4, the Wood boys clearly on top.

Zohran tempted a number of the lower order into giving away their wickets whilst the skipper came on to mop up the tail yet again (much to Kingy's distaste).

Ardleigh Green were all out for 118, special mention must be given to Ardleigh Green's number 10 who charged every ball and looked to reverse sweep Zebede. His entertaining 16 was memorable.

Nad snicked off early doors in the run chase. Craig and Pete saw off the majority of the runs in real style. Craig and Chris got out in quick succession with the game all but won. With 8 to win, Pete was prevented by bringing up a much deserved half century by Glen's attacking off side strokeplay.

The Wood win and move on to a big match vs Hutton next week.
