Wanstead V v Harold Wood Cricket Club 4th XI - Saturday on Sat 17 Jun 2006 at 1:30
Harold Wood Cricket Club Lost 3 wickets
Match report
Wood 4th XI will be kicking themselves for not getting more runs when well set against Wanstead V’s. They were 89 for 0 after batting first, with Steve “The Wall” Faram (46) and Billy Winters (45) batting well together, however when they fell close to each other the usual solid 4th Xi middle order fell for not many and it was up to Alan Street (33) batting at number 8 to get the Wood up to 162 all out. Wanstead started solidly enough however the Wood began to take wickets, Alan Street taking 2-40 off 10 overs. Adam Peek also took 2-31, but these wickets were just not enough as Wanstead got to their total 7 wickets down, Wood were left dreaming of what would have happened if they had scored 30 more runs.
