Edmonton V v Harold Wood Cricket Club 4th XI - Saturday on Sat 03 Jun 2006 at 2pm
Match was Drawn
Match report
Harold Wood 4’s had the best of a draw against Edmonton 5’s. Having batted first and losing captain Geoff Smith for a golden duck early on after being bowled by a 12 year-old, Wood were helped to a good score by Mark Fowles who hit an aggressive 72 not out as Wood got their score up to 168 for 9. Steve “The Wall” Faram also got an unusually quick 31 at the top of the innings as well. Edmonton in reply never looked interested in going for the victory target and Wood captain Smith did the rare thing of giving everyone in the team a bowl, he even took off his keeping pads to have a bowl himself, Edmonton eventually finished on 117 for 4.
