Match report Harold Wood continued winning ways at the home of cricket. Luke Hammatt won the toss and decided the twos would chase on a deck that promised to have a bit in it with the overnight rain.

Bonner could have struck early doors but for the keeper and first slip leaving it for each other. Kingy got the Wood going but this was not to last the first 26 overs with the twos being fairly lacklustre. A motivational speech worthy of an oscar later from captain fantastic and the team got going again. Zohran, or Zoron as Kingy refers to him, striking killer blows to the West Essex middle order, the young spinner ending up with 11 overs for only 10 runs and 3 wickets. Captain Marvell ran through the rest of West Essex, proving too hot to handle once again. Harold Wood disposed of the opposition for only 142, a good effort considering they were 109-2 at drinks.

The run chase started with a bang as per usual but it was not continued through. Both openers departing in the first 10 overs. Sri showed his class of old, knocking off a sizeable portion of the runs on his own, he was joined by Bennett who watched from the other end. The keeper played a poor shot off his legs which resulted in a mini collapse, four wickets falling for no runs. It was left to Sri and Harold Wood batting all rounder, Richard Bonner, to see off the rest of the total. Bonner hitting the winning runs off the toe of the bat into the nets.
