Introduction

The EU's new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives EU individuals more control over how their personal data is handled. In the spirit of, and in compliance with, GDPR, Harold Wood Cricket Club (HWCC) want you to know what personal data we collect, and what we do — and don’t — with it.

What we collect

HWCC is only interested in data that helps us function as a Cricket Club. The club only holds data which is required for us to provide cricket matches, training, coaching and social events for both Senior and Junior members of the club. This information includes:

• Name
• Address
• Email address
• Date of Birth
• Place of Birth
• Telephone numbers
• Playing statistics
• Any Awards and Achievements

If under 18 years of age additionally:

• Any Medical Conditions
• Contact details of Next of Kin
• Emergency contact details

What we don’t do

We do not collect or store payment information. We do not sell or use your information for any commercial reason. We do not pass on your information to anyone outside the organisation other than those listed below.

What we do

We use the personal data you provide to ensure that you can keep you informed with updates from the club. We also use your data to allow us to contact you to confirm your availability for fixtures and the day to day running of the club in order to field our Men’s, Ladies and Academy teams.

Data with reference to players, such as: Names; Date of Birth; Address; and Place of Birth is shared where required with the various leagues the club is affiliated to. This information is shared and stored securely via the ECB play cricket website. All other data is stored securely on our website hosted by hitsports.com

What now?

If you are happy for HWCC to continue holding your data for the reasons set out above, you do not need to do anything. The requirement to hold your data will be reviewed periodically. If you no longer wish for HWCC to hold your data please click in the link below:
