Match report The local derby that had been long awaited had arrived. Skipper Gary Smith, had won his second toss in a row and asked GPR to bat first. After loosing an early wicket, from an excellent bowling spell by Richard Bonner, GPR, put on a 100+ 2nd wicket partnership. Faisal Iqbal came on for skipper Smith and accompanied by Tony Carman restricted GPR to 220 for 6. Woods reply was slow and at the last hour, still needed 120 runs to win. After some big hitting by Sewell and Carman, the Wood finished 8 runs short.
