OVERSEAS TOUR
BARBADOS 2021

LAUNCH WEEKEND AT THE CLUB OVER THE WEEKEND OF JULY 13th and 14th
2021 is Harold Wood Cricket Club's 125th Anniversary - and as we do every couple of years we will be organising another overseas tour.
In 2019 the club visited Cyprus, and we have been to other destinations such as Mallorca, Lanzarote and Ibiza over the years.
The club's first overseas tour was in 1996 - our 100th anniversary - and it has been a great tradition to go along to new places and meet new friends overseas. It is also a great chance to have a fantastic holiday.
The Overseas Tours are always family affairs, with everyone in your family welcome to attend. We have had tourists as young as 5 months old... and ones as old as... well you get the point.
In 2021 the club will be travelling to Barbados, the furthest we have travelled so far - and it is bound to be a popular trip away.
The Plan (So Far)
Dates - End of March to Early April 2021 - 10 days away - this is to coincide with the Easter Holidays so that children and school teachers can also attend
Cricket - We will be looking to play 3 games whilst
Where will we stay? - Those that have been on tour's before know that the best tours are ones where we have a good well-situated hotel.
We will be working out what is best value - whether an All Inclusive resort (we have stayed at similar before) - or something with a different style of board.
Cost - Travelling to Barbados in Easter Holidays is not going to be cheap, but we are working with our Travel Agent Partner Abbotts Travel to come up with the best plan, something that is good value for money, but also means we are in a good quality hotel.
Who is going? - Chairman Tom Clarke has been inundated with people registering their interest.
"When we went to Cyprus we had a tour party of 22, this had 5 children under 9, 10 players and 7 wives and girlfriends.
For Barbados I feel we will have a tour party of almost double that - it should be an incredible trip away, and a chance for you and your family to discover a paradise with your teammates and friends.
