Match report On Sunday Wood’s B team travelled to South Woodford, Tom Clarke won the toss and decided to bat first. Clarke opened the batting with Dave Hollingsworth. The pair put on 106 for the first wicket before Clarke was bowled for 73. He had been dropped by first and second slip and the wicket keeper as well as blasting 5 sixes in a somewhat entertaining innings. His brother Peter fell for 1 after he was caught on the boundary much to the amusement of Tom. However Richard Hyde came to the crease and scored 49 not out as he helped Hollingsworth get to his ton, Dave ending on 108 not out as Wood scored 249 for 2 off their 40 overs. In reply South Woodford started aggressively but the Wood did start to take wickets. Fawaad Uddin taking 2-18 and Darren Gilford also finishing with the same 2-18, Gautham Rajagopalan impressed by taking 2-8 whilst Tom let brother Pete have a bowl after his failure with the bat and Pete took 2-10 including the last South Woodford wicket with just 1 over to go, Woodford were all out for 148.
