Match report
Having lost the toss, the Wood were asked to field first. Another superb bowling display from Craig saw him pick up 3 wickets and Wanstead were losing wickets regularly. However, 2 crucial catches been dropped off their opening bat meant they recovered to post 144-5.
Not having chased so far this season, and with two forced changes to the side, this was going to be a tough chase. And so was the case, Wanstead's star studded side (the twins, Zain, Merv and their Eng U19 kid) proved just that. 5 dots followed by a wicket, meant we were 0-1 after the 1st over. We then lost another wicket without the batsmen troubling the scorer. At 2 down for not many after 3 overs, the task seemed impossible. We then hit the self destruct button and suffered 3 suidical run outs, and were all out in the 7th over for 68. A bitter wake up call after our back to back wins in the 1st two games. Next up, South Woodford... Fun times. :-)
